Doc martens

I haven't worn DM's since I was in school and we were all living out our teenage 90's grunge/ riot grrl faze, and if i'm honest I have been avoiding this current wave of Dm wearers like the plague but I saw the new range and there are some amazing pairs of shoes here. I was always big on the Oxford styles when I was in school, I think because they were just different to the boots. but the new range has some interesting colours and shapes, I want some of these.
i love the top pastel ones and the more pump style boots!

The perfect bag

I have just spotted this envelop Murse Over at Face Hunter love it so much. the buckle detail AMAZING!

The Balenciaga Dream

Balenciaga is a boat everyone should be jumping on! seriously so amazing. I just saw the new adverts over at Fashion gone rogue. The shirt that tucks through the trousers, is definitely one of my favourite pieces in the collection, so I was pumped to see that it has been used in the adverts.
also Susie Bubbles has posted some beautiful pictures of the fabrics up close which are to die for so get yourself over there

3.1. Phillip Lim

I have to admit Phillip Lim is one of my favourite and never does the label disappoint. this is a cracking bit of knitwear love love love it. and if you haven't seen the video with lane crawford make sure you find it.

Andreas Gursky

I came across these along time ago when I was shown them in a lesson at Uni or College. i love the Hyper-real feel of them and how it takes a few Moments to work out what it really and that they are photographs at first they look like paintings. beautiful

Unplugged: 24 hours without media

I've been pondering some research idea's and whilst reading away on a million articles I came across this.
Unplugged is an experiment by Bournemouth University, where each participant goes with out any media contact for 24 hours, That's right that means.
No Internet
No Television
No Papers/ Magazines
No Music
No Nothing basically.

It's really interesting to see how people dealt with it and what they did. I mean when you think about it, it seems like an easily achievable goal but when you really start to think about how much we use media, I don't think it would be that black and white.
I'm not sure quite what I would do without surfing through a millions Blogs a day and my mobile phone, Especially now I am ship wrecked in what is commonly known as to as the Countryside -I know an unimaginable fate for all those who grew up in the Country. Lets face it our Generation Thrives on media, it is how we communicate, create and even Learn. its so easy and hence why it is so hard to give up.

This is definitely worth a read and for more information check out the dot.Rory blog.

Neil Krug

I really love these Pictures by Neil Krug, is it possible for a picture to feel like the beginning and the end of the world all at once? that sounded deep.
There is definitely something special and mysterious about these. i really like the colours in these really intense.as well as these he has also worked on a series of album art for My Chemical Romance(I'm no Fan of the music but the cover work is really great) and there are also some images of Devendra Banhart and Ladytron which are really great.

Carine Roitfeld

Oh my, Oh my French vogue is in for a change what is going to go down there. Carine Roitfeld is resigning as chief editor of Vogue Paris in pursuit of personal project. She is set to leave at the end of January, this is a real shame but Personal projects sounds exciting right ., cannot wait to see what come out of the style queen herself.this is what has been said.

"After 10 last years with the drafting as a chief of Paris Vogue, Carine Roitfeld decides to leave the magazine. Her departure will be effective in a few weeks. Carine Roitfeld wishes to devote herself to personal projects which are dear to her heart. Under her influence, Vogue Paris became a world reference and a magazine impossible to circumvent. Carine Roitfeld knew to give to the magazine a new dimension, with a daring glance in collaboration with the largest photographers of the world. These 10 years resulted in a constant growth of the performances as well into diffusion as into publicity of Paris Vogue. “Carine marked the history of the Paris Vogue thanks to her incredible talent of designer and editor association. We will miss her” declares Jonathan Newhouse, President de Condé Nast International. “I regret the decision of Carine of course, even if I include/understand it. A page is turned and a new stage starts for this mark solid, powerful and sure of his values” declares Xavier Romatet, President de Condé Nast France."

Manufactured Totems

How amazing are these?  This series is called “Manufactured Totems” by  Alain Delorme, captures the portrait of the insignificant jobs present in everyday life in Shanghai. absolutly love the way these images seem so plastic almost. the everyday is taken out of them and the people become almost like hyper real characters in their own stories.

love it

Terminal Mirage

These Images by David Maisel are beautiful. They are from the series Terminal Mirage. The images were shot over a decade to document what he refers to as a 'new topography'.

"There is a kind of poisoning going on here that somehow, I think, corresponds to something inside of us,” he says. It’s hard to believe that these beautiful images are actually a depiction of ecosystems under pressure."

Vitimin String Quartet

Vitamin string quartet - Rebellion (lies) Arcade fire cover.

So if you like Arcade Fire you will definitely  know this song, and there is a possibility you will  LOVE this even more than the actual song. I can't get enough of this Album right now.
Enjoy.

Loyal Luxe

Loyal Luxe have done it again. These Cardboard Teepees are amazing. I really want to one of these for my kitten.
